After drafting numerous sketches of bike gears and working closely with a fabricator and engineer, his 15-foot vision was recently installed at the shopping center.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was a big accomplishment for me and I would definitely do it again,\u201d Alexandrowicz said. His sculpture is outside Bonefish Grill facing Nevada Avenue.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"740\" height=\"417\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EOwxuy6ZSeI?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Tamara V. Mauldin created a 10-foot-tall fish sculpture. &#8220;The way that they moved apart from each other but then back together at the zenith is similar to someone\u2019s movement through their own life,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Mauldin hand-painted the scales of each fish to create the colorful scheme. Mauldin\u2019s sculpture is between the Starbucks and Tokyo Joe\u2019s facing Nevada Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Every year, two UCCS students are selected for a scholarship provided by University Village Colorado to design, build and install their artwork at the center.
