The reception and exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays or by appointment.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to exhibiting their work, students were responsible for details of the show including curation and design, installation, lighting, marketing, opening reception and staffing. This is the 10<sup>th<\/sup> annual senior visual and performing arts major art exhibition at UCCS.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Exhibit X&#8221; showcases the work of the following student artists:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ian Alexandrowicz,<\/strong> Trinidad, a senior majoring in Visual and Performing Arts. Cho&#8217;s work delves into issues of race and ethnic identity as well as definitions of beauty.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Elissa Cummings,<\/strong> Colorado Springs, a senior majoring in Visual and Performing Arts. Cummings&#8217; watercolor pieces explore the nature and consequences of human memory.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jasmine Dillavou,<\/strong> Cascade, a senior majoring in Visual and Performing Arts. Dillavou uses collage and mixed media to explore identity and cultural identity.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Yuliya Drakh,<\/strong> Golden Valley, Minnesota, a senior majoring in Visual and Performing Arts. Garcia&#8217;s work investigates female identity and societal expectations.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lesley Garlan,<\/strong> Colorado Springs, a senior majoring in Visual and Performing Arts. Garlan&#8217;s art deals with her personal experiences with anxiety and depression.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ginger Immenhauser,<\/strong> Colorado Springs, a senior majoring in Visual and Performing Arts. Mauldin explores spirituality in her work, combining her previous experiences in the military and her environmental sciences major.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jonathan &#8220;JD&#8221; Sell,<\/strong> Erie, senior majoring in Visual and Performing Arts. Sell focuses his photography, screen printing and painting on architecture and urban spaces.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>GOCA is a regional hub of contemporary art, culture and conversation. By featuring world-class artists, hosting artist and expert talks, and offering meaningful events, GOCA engages UCCS students, faculty, staff and Pikes Peak Region community members in contemporary culture and life. GOCA is a contemporary arts organization with two galleries, one founded on the UCCS campus in 1981 and a satellite downtown location that opened in 2010 in the Plaza of the Rockies building.
