{"id":21010,"date":"2015-10-13T14:13:53","date_gmt":"2015-10-13T20:13:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/?p=21010"},"modified":"2022-11-29T17:47:49","modified_gmt":"2022-11-30T00:47:49","slug":"photo-feature-uccs-celebrates-homecoming-with-a-bang","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/?p=21010","title":{"rendered":"Photo feature: UCCS celebrates homecoming with a bang"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UCCS celebrated homecoming and the 50th anniversary with activities ranging from opening a time capsule and an alumni tailgate, to a\u00a0spirit rally\u00a0and fireworks show.<\/p>\n<p>Students participated in the annual march from campus to Mountain Lion Stadium to watch the men\u2019s and women\u2019s soccer\u00a0games. The women&#8217;s tied\u00a0Colorado Mesa University 1-1 while the men&#8217;s team defeated South Dakota School of Mines and Technology 3-0.<\/p>\n<p>Following the games,\u00a0a large fireworks display and a bonfire celebrated the homecoming weekend and the university&#8217;s 50th anniversary.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20968\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20968\" style=\"width:
