UCCS faculty and staff can help launch the 50th<\/sup> Anniversary of the campus by sharing old photographs or completing the sentence \u201cWe are \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

At the Dec. 12 chancellor\u2019s all-campus forum, Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak encouraged faculty and staff to participate in 50th<\/sup> festivities by scavenging their minds, desk drawers and photo collections. The results of efforts to complete the prompt \u201cwe are,\u201d as well as photos, will be shared at Jan. 22 kick off event.<\/p>\n

\"Screen<\/a>The photos do not have to be beautiful, award-winning glamour shots of campus. Instead, photos that show people, places or events \u2013 and that spark memories \u2013 are the goal.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, here\u2019s a picture where there are no houses around campus,\u201d Andrea Cordova, office manager, Office of the Chancellor, exclaimed while examining a snapshot submitted by a staff member. \u201cThat\u2019s what we need \u2013 something to remind us of how much things have changed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Completing the prompt \u201cWe are\u201d should be brief, Cordova explained. Faculty and staff should try to limit themselves to approximately six words such as \u201cWe are golden and growing\u201d but she emphasized that submissions with a few more words will be included.<\/p>\n
