Homecoming 2014 was a success with activities ranging from\u00a0a UCCS spirit rally,\u00a0\u00a0casino night and annual march and tailgate prior to the men’s and women’s soccer games Sept. 18-21.<\/p>\n

According to Stephen Cucchiara, assistant director,\u00a0Office of Student Activities, a record number of students and community members attended events.<\/p>\n

195 students participated in The March from the Housing Quad to Four Diamonds to watch the men’s and women’s soccer teams open the 2014 conference season at Mountain Lion Stadium. The women’s team won its game\u00a0against Adams State University\u00a0 by a score of 3-2. The men’s team lost its game\u00a0against Metropolitan State University of Denver\u00a0\u00a0in double overtime by a score of 1-2.<\/p>\n

After the games, more than 660 students and community members roasted s’mores and drank hot chocolate during the bonfire.<\/p>\n

On the last night of the Homecoming celebrations,\u00a01,212 students and their dates transformed Gallogly Event Center into a dance hall while Berger Hall offered\u00a0professionally dealt casino games.<\/p>\n
