Hosted by International Affairs, this annual week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education celebrated by many universities across the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mlc.uccs.edu\/organization\/international-affairs\/events\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IEW takes place the second week each November, this year from Nov. 13 \u2013 17<\/a>, with events open not just to international students and those studying abroad, but all who are interested in learning more about and celebrating global education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere are several Education Abroad events for those new to International Education and wanting to explore, but the Education Abroad trivia night on Tuesday is an especially great place to start,\u201d noted Telma Frumholtz, Education Abroad Program Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Global Perspectives event on Friday night where we will show Flagmakers documentary and make American flag pins is my favorite event from this year,&#8221; added Karlye Enkler, International Student and Scholar Program Manager. &#8220;It&#8217;s an event that&#8217;s very much about bringing everyone together.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, prizes are available for those who attend the most events this week. Every time you attend an event, you will receive a stamp from International Affairs on their own personalized UCCS IEW Passport. Each stamp you collect gets you entered into a grand prize drawing.
