This is the second consecutive year that UCCS faculty and staff won an informal competition between the campuses for participation in the wellness campaign. The assessment program is a free, voluntary effort where faculty and staff complete an online questionnaire about health goals and activities including the amount of time spent exercising.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of this year\u2019s participation rates, a traveling trophy will remain at UCCS. It is housed in the Office of the Chancellor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe prize isn\u2019t a trophy,\u201d Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak said. \u201cThe value is that we are more aware of our health and the steps that we can take to make us feel better at work and at home. I thank everyone who participated in the assessment and encourage others to consider taking this small step toward a healthy lifestyle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year, campus participation rates were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>UCCS, 20.3 percent<\/li>\n<li>CU Denver, 16.3 percent<\/li>\n<li>CU-Boulder, 13 percent<\/li>\n<li>Anschutz Medical Campus, 12.1 percent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information about the program or the assessment, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/becolorado.org\/\">http:\/\/becolorado.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>UCCS faculty and staff participated at the highest rate of CU campuses in the Be Colorado SUCCEED Health Assessment program.
