O&#8217;Neil Cybersecurity Education &amp; Research Center, the UCCS community celebrated Venkat Reddy&#8217;s service as UCCS Chancellor and his recognition from the CU Board of Regents as Chancellor Emeritus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Venkat Reddy and campus leaders gave remarks, including Regent Ken Montera who read the Board of Regent\u2019s motion to appoint Venkat Reddy and Chancellor Emeritus: &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;This is a resolution of appreciation for Venkat Reddy. Whereas Chancellor Venkat Reddy led the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs UCCS with passion and commitment for more than six years. Whereas his consistent platform was to build a campus culture based on respect, compassion, safety, and excellence. Whereas Chancellor Reddy engaged the campus and community stakeholders in completing the UCCS 2030 strategic plan, whereas the university community and the greater Colorado Springs community valued his steady leadership to the challenging times of the COVID 19 pandemic, during which he prioritized the health and safety of all campus members. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whereas Chancellor Reddy used his more than 32-year association with the university to foster critical relationships with area businesses, local government, and two- and four-year colleges. Whereas Chancellor Reddy presided over the strategic academic expansion of the campus, including increases in research activity leading to an R2 research classification, and the addition of five Bachelor&#8217;s, three master&#8217;s and four doctoral programs, one being the first doctoral degree for the College of Business, and another being a collaboration with the Anschutz Medical Campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whereas Chancellor Reddy presided over the continued growth of the campus in record fundraising efforts, including in leading to the opening of Mountain Lion Park, mountain Lion Fieldhouse, UCCS downtown campus, the expansion of Mosaic, the Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience, Clyde Way, the William J Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center, the T Rowe Price career and Innovation Center, the Kevin W O&#8217;Neill cybersecurity Education and Research Center, the \u201cOlympians and Pera-Olympians among us\u201d Sculpture, and the nearly complete Anschutz Engineering Center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whereas these tireless efforts have forever transformed the lives of thousands of students and their families, thus making a long-lasting impact on the vitality, culture and economic strength of Southern Colorado and the entire state of Colorado. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now therefore, it be resolved that the Board of Regents of the University of Colorado expresses its deep gratitude to Venkat Reddy for his loyal and faithful service, leadership, and outstanding contributions to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, and to the entire University of Colorado system in the Chancellor role.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the reception, Reddy was gifted a framed photo of campus with signatures of community leaders on the back as a commemorative keepsake for his time as chancellor. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A full album
