That work endures in the 2023-24 season with a lineup that features exclusively Colorado-based actors and the continuation of a ticketing program designed to make performances more accessible for all audiences.

The 2023-24 season, which opens on September 21 with “Steel Magnolias,” features 53 actors (and nine puppeteers!), every one of whom lives and works in Colorado.

From the stellar cast of strong women bringing “Steel Magnolias” to the stage, to the excellent musicians rounding out the artists of “Into the Woods in Concert,” or the comic stylings of some local favorites in “Emperor of the Moon,” the season offers a wide variety of work for Colorado talent.

Partnerships with the Colorado Springs Conservatory, the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs,
KatyWilliams Design, and JParker Arts offer further outlets for the creativity overflowing in our region.

The season also continues the tradition of blending local talent with national stars through a diverse array of directors and designers from across the country coming to cross-pollinate with our Colorado artists.

Bringing the Colorado community to the stage is only half the goal, and the 2023-24 season also features new programs to welcome a broader cross-section of the community to the theatre. If you’re seeking financially accessible ticketing options, Theatreworks’ options include:

10 for $10 tickets: For the first 10 performances of every mainstage production, Theatreworks
sets aside 10 tickets at $10, specifically intended to make the work financially accessible for
those who might be challenged by regular ticket pricing. (Don’t worry- because “Into the Woods
in Concert” has only five performances, we’ve set aside 20 $10 tickets for each of those shows!)

$25 preview tickets for the first Thursday preview performances of “Steel Magnolias,” “Dream
Hou$e,” “Othello,” and “Emperor of the Moon.”

Six morning matinee performances on Thursday at 10 a.m. at which groups of students and
seniors can attend for $10 a ticket.

Theatreworks subscriptions are still available for a 20% discount over single ticket prices.

If you are an arts patron committed to accessible theatre for all, we would welcome your support of our
season through ticket purchases and donations which underwrite the costs of providing these low-price
options.

Theatreworks believes in art that connects with all parts of our community, but that connection can only
happen when the work is available to all kinds of people. Accessible pricing, morning matinees, and
programs like Free-For-All ensure that everyone in the Pikes Peak region can enjoy high-quality, deeply
impactful performing arts, regardless of their economic situation. Enthusiastic support from our
wonderful community of generous donors and arts patrons makes it possible to support professional
artists and a wider range of audiences at the same time.

For more information on the upcoming season, accessible ticket pricing, or season subscriptions, contact the Ent Center for the Arts box office at 719-255-4322.

About Theatreworks Colorado Springs

Theatreworks Colorado Springs connects, empowers, and delights our communities through diverse performances and educational experiences that are mirrors for ourselves and windows into others.
