{"id":148071,"date":"2023-05-11T09:43:40","date_gmt":"2023-05-11T15:43:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/?p=148071"},"modified":"2023-05-12T10:27:20","modified_gmt":"2023-05-12T16:27:20","slug":"spring-class-of-2023-donates-more-than-6000-for-uccs-programs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/?p=148071","title":{"rendered":"Spring Class of 2023 donates more than $6,000 for UCCS programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"388\" src=\"https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/crowdfunding-graphic.jpg\" alt=\"UCCS Class Gift graphic\" class=\"wp-image-129053\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With student services and scholarships in mind, the spring UCCS Class of 2023 has donated more than $6,000 to the <a href=\"https:\/\/alumni.uccs.edu\/class-gift\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">annual class gift<\/a> so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Created by the Class of 2015, the annual gift has raised over $80,000 to support UCCS scholarships and vital programs. The class gift program helps students to see their legacy and collective impact on future generations at UCCS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members of the Class of 2023 are encouraged to designate gifts to Clyde\u2019s Cupboard Food Pantry, the Multicultural Office for Student Access, Inclusiveness &amp; Community (M.O.S.A.I.C.) or a scholarship fund in their college, although gifts to any fund are accepted. So far, 208 students from the May 2023 graduates have contributed to the gift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Graduates who give at least $25 receive a blue cord as a memento to wear during Commencement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Class of 2023 is invited to&nbsp;donate to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/crowdfunding.uccs.edu\/?cfpage=\/o\/university-of-colorado-colorado-springs-54\/i\/crowdfunding\/s\/class-of-2023-may\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clyde\u2019s Crowd platform<\/a>&nbsp;through the month of May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the UCCS Spring 2023 Commencement Ceremonies&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The UCCS&nbsp;spring 2023 Commencement ceremonies will celebrate&nbsp;degrees conferred to more than 1,500 graduates.
