The UCCS Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences would like to call out and honor the incredible nursing students who all recently received an award, nomination or appointment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recently, four Johnson Beth-El students received awards from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefon.org\/index.php\">Friends of Nursing<\/a>. Congratulations to: &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Christine Cabalic \u2013 Greta Pollard, Founder\u2019s Scholarship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Melanie Senter \u2013 Friends of Nursing\/Leila B. Kinney Scholarship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Melanie Walker \u2013 Friends of Nursing Scholarship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shantel Moore \u2013 Fern Howard Award<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shantel Moore and Melanie Senter are in the accelerated cohort.&nbsp; Melanie Walker and Christine Cabalic are graduate students in the <a href=\"https:\/\/johnsonbethel.uccs.edu\/academics\/nursing\/msn\">Master of Science in Nursing<\/a>.&nbsp;They were all honored at a spring luncheon this month.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chellis Richards, <a href=\"https:\/\/bsna.uccs.edu\/\">BSNA president<\/a>, recently received a nomination for the 2023 Ron Wisner Human Spirit and Leadership Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emma Kate Bonner, BSNA merchandise director, was formally accepted into the NSNA Leadership University Honor Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Johnson Beth-El is a pillar of nursing excellence in the Colorado Springs community, and our students often reflect the same values of leadership and distinction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congratulations to all the hardworking Johnson Beth-El nursing students and a big round of applause for Christine Cabalic, Melanie Senter, Melanie Walker, Shantel Moore, Chellis Richards, and Emma Kate Bonner on your recent accomplishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Helen and Arthur E. The Clinical Simulation Learning Center is accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). The Master\u2019s of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics is the first Future Education Model (FEM) registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) program in Colorado and accredited by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatrightpro.org\/acend\/accreditation-standards-fees-and-policies\/future-education-model-standards-and-templates-v2022\/rationale-for-future-education-of-nutrition-and-dietetics-practitioners\">ACEND<\/a>. The Doctor of Physical Therapy program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) became the first graduate athletic training program in Colorado when it was awarded&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/caate.net\/about\/\">CAATE accreditation<\/a>&nbsp;in Spring 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our traditional Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) program is ranked nationally by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-colleges\">US News and World Report<\/a>. The Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences ranks&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-colleges\/rankings\/nursing-overall\">#67 out of 681<\/a>&nbsp;national nursing programs.&nbsp;The Helen and Arthur E.
