Emma Bonner<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Emma Kate Bonner was formally accepted into the NSNA Leadership University Honor Society. The NSNA Leadership University Honor Society\u2019s mission is to mentor students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, and to convey the standards, ethics and skills that students will need as responsible and accountable leaders and members of the profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bonner, a Johnson Beth-El nursing student<\/a> and BSNA<\/a> Merchandise Director, is the first UCCS Johnson Beth-El nursing student to receive this national honor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award recognizes future nurse leaders for their work and involvement with their program chapters and activities. Bonner is well on her way to forming her professional identity in nursing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt’s a tremendous accomplishment,” said BSNA faculty advisor Sue Davis. “I am very proud of her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is a wonderful recognition of student and faculty leadership work and collaboration being done in the college to support all of our nursing students on their journeys,\u201d said the nursing department chair Debbie Pollard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our traditional Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) program is ranked nationally by US News and World Report<\/a>. The Helen and Arthur E.
