The NSNA Leadership University Honor Society\u2019s mission is to mentor students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, and to convey the standards, ethics and skills that students will need as responsible and accountable leaders and members of the profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bonner, a Johnson Beth-El <a href=\"https:\/\/johnsonbethel.uccs.edu\/academics\/nursing\/bsn\">nursing student<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/bsna.uccs.edu\/\">BSNA<\/a> Merchandise Director, is the first UCCS Johnson Beth-El nursing student to receive this national honor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The award recognizes future nurse leaders for their work and involvement with their program chapters and activities. Bonner is well on her way to forming her professional identity in nursing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt&#8217;s a tremendous accomplishment,&#8221; said BSNA faculty advisor Sue Davis. &#8220;I am very proud of her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is a wonderful recognition of student and faculty leadership work and collaboration being done in the college to support all of our nursing students on their journeys,\u201d said the nursing department chair Debbie Pollard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Helen and Arthur E. The Clinical Simulation Learning Center is accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). The Master\u2019s of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics is the first Future Education Model (FEM) registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) program in Colorado and accredited by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatrightpro.org\/acend\/accreditation-standards-fees-and-policies\/future-education-model-standards-and-templates-v2022\/rationale-for-future-education-of-nutrition-and-dietetics-practitioners\">ACEND<\/a>. The Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) became the first graduate athletic training program in Colorado when it was awarded&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/caate.net\/about\/\">CAATE accreditation<\/a>&nbsp;in Spring 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our traditional Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) program is ranked nationally by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-colleges\">US News and World Report<\/a>. The Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences ranks&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-colleges\/rankings\/nursing-overall\">#67 out of 681<\/a>&nbsp;national nursing programs.&nbsp;The Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences is consistently ranked as a US News and World Report\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/education\/online-education\/nursing\/veteran-rankings\">Top online Master\u2019s in Nursing program for veterans<\/a>.
