CU Administrative Policy Statement 7009<\/a>, adopted in October of 2017, clarified expectations and requirements for campus programs when it came to protection of children. In February of 2018, UCCS established Campus Policy 100-019<\/a>, which charged a standing committee to review and monitor programs for children.\u00a0<\/span>The policy was updated in January of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Since the UCCS policy was a created, the committee has developed campus-specific online trainings and documentation for program operators to complete before the event starts. The coordinator for each program must complete the training and submit the required program information in the Canvas site<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cUCCS continuously updates our campus policies, procedures and forms regarding how we host events with children and minors,\u201d said Debi O\u2019Connor, Director of Campus Compliance. \u201cEach campus unit has done a good job of protecting children on campus, so we want to continue to support and provide updated resources for faculty, staff and student employees.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n There’s more information on the Ethics and Compliance website<\/a>.
