Douglas MacArthur Foundation, recognize the ideals of, \u201cduty, honor and country\u201d as advocated by MacArthur.<\/p>\n<p>The UCCS department represented Cadet Command\u2019s Fifth Brigade, which consists of the 36 senior Army ROTC programs in the Southwest.<\/p>\n<p>The award is based on a combination of the achievement of the school\u2019s commissioning mission, its cadets\u2019 performance and standing on the Command\u2019s national Order of Merit List and its cadet retention rate.<\/p>\n<p>Cadet Command and the MacArthur Foundation have given the awards annually since 1989.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8212; U.S. Army Public Affairs<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>The U.S. Army Cadet Command announced Feb. 28 that the UCCS Army Reserve Officers\u2019 Training Corps department won one of eight MacArthur Awards for the school year 2012-2013.
