As part of the new Mountain Lion Athletic Association, and in an effort to build scholarships for members of men\u2019s and women\u2019s Mountain Lion basketball teams, a new booster club was recently formed for UCCS faculty and staff.<\/p>\n
Members of the booster club will have special seats at home basketball games or may sit on the bench with the coach and teams. Additionally, club members can purchase booster-specific items from the UCCS Bookstore and attend VIP receptions, according to Stephanie Hanenberg, director, Student Health Center, and a founding booster club member.<\/p>\n
Membership in the booster club is $120 annually with payroll deduction available for faculty and staff members. All proceeds will be used to create scholarships for student-athletes who participate in men\u2019s and women\u2019s intercollegiate basketball.<\/p>\n
