{"id":13921,"date":"2014-02-07T11:22:00","date_gmt":"2014-02-07T18:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/?p=13921"},"modified":"2014-02-07T11:25:10","modified_gmt":"2014-02-07T18:25:10","slug":"ent-federal-credit-union-to-be-recognized-for-uccs-contributions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/?p=13921","title":{"rendered":"Ent Federal Credit Union to be recognized for UCCS contributions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/EntLogo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-13924\" alt=\"EntLogo\" src=\"http:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/EntLogo-300x149.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"149\" \/><\/a>Ent Federal Credit Union will be honored for its ongoing partnership and recent two-year extension of its financial commitment to UCCS at the Feb. 8 UCCS vs. CSU-Pueblo basketball games at City Auditorium.<\/p>\n<p>Charles Emmer, Ent\u2019s chief executive officer, and Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak will conduct a brief center court ceremony at halftime of the men\u2019s basketball game at the Second Annual Downtown Classic Feb. 8 at the Colorado Springs City Auditorium, 221 East Kiowa.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Downtown-Classic.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-13655\" alt=\"Downtown Classic\" src=\"http:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Downtown-Classic-300x241.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"241\" \/><\/a>Tipoff for the women\u2019s game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tipoff for the men\u2019s game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The ceremony is expected at approximately 8:15 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are deeply appreciative of Ent\u2019s continued support of the university and its students,\u201d Shockley-Zalabak said. \u201cTheir contribution has helped many southern Colorado residents achieve their dreams of a college education and financial success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the next two years, Ent, the university\u2019s official banking partner, will continue to provide financial support for UCCS student scholarships as well as high-profile efforts such as the Southern Colorado Economic Forum produced by the UCCS College of Business, the Karen Possehl Women\u2019s Endowment Unstoppable Women Luncheon, and an athletic booster club.<\/p>\n<p>The KPWE Scholarship supports non-traditional women students interested in earning a college degree. Ent\u2019s donation will fund two KPWE scholarships as well as two UCCS Reach Your Peak Scholarships, five student-athlete scholarships and five alumni scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEnt is proud to be associated with UCCS and the important role they play in the community,\u201d Emmer said. \u201cIn addition to scholarship support, the strong partnership between our organizations has enabled us to provide the Lion OneCard and other high quality financial products and services to the students and faculty right on campus. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2006, Ent became the official banking partner for UCCS. Ent operates a service center and ATMs on campus and provides faculty, staff and students with the option of an identification card called the Lion OneCard that doubles as an ATM and Visa debit card.
