Sherry Lee, senior instructor, Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and Linda Button, instructor, College of Education, were recently notified the online courses they teach received Quality Matters recognition.<\/p>\n

Quality Matters is a nationally recognized, faculty-centered peer review process designed to highlight the quality of online courses and components.<\/p>\n

Lee\u2019s \u201cNursing 3050 Health Assessment-RN\u201d and Button\u2019s \u201cCurriculum 5002 Issues, Strategies, and Models in Curriculum <\/i>Design\u201d are the first two UCCS courses to receive Quality Matters recognition. They are believed to be the first courses\u00a0recognized at a CU campus.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe congratulate Sherry and Linda for going through this comprehensive process of course review and revision to achieve this honor,\u201d Jackie Crouch, instructional technologist, Faculty Resource Center, said. \u201cThis\u00a0recognition assures online students they are receiving the very best education possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Quality Matters rubric is the most widely used set of standards for the design of online and blended courses at the college level. Today, more than 700 colleges and universities subscribe to the non-profit Quality Matters Program.<\/p>\n
