{"id":131889,"date":"2021-04-21T15:30:57","date_gmt":"2021-04-21T21:30:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/?p=131889"},"modified":"2021-04-21T15:32:27","modified_gmt":"2021-04-21T21:32:27","slug":"criminal-justice-students-place-high-in-regional-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/?p=131889","title":{"rendered":"Criminal Justice students place high in regional competition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following a week of friendly competition, 10 UCCS Criminal Justice students reached new heights in a regional American Criminal Justice Society tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The students, who are part of the UCCS American Criminal Justice Society club, racked up notable placements in four separate written exams, a physical agility test, a firearms competition and crime scene investigations competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the written exam category, Kristen Sanchez placed with the second-highest score in Corrections. Ben Turecheck placed third in Juvenile Justice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the three competitions, Amy Wellington placed third in the physical agility competition among women under 25-years-old.
