{"id":131707,"date":"2021-04-09T09:33:28","date_gmt":"2021-04-09T15:33:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/?p=131707"},"modified":"2022-02-04T09:55:05","modified_gmt":"2022-02-04T16:55:05","slug":"cu-board-of-regents-set-tuition-rates-and-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communique.uccs.edu\/?p=131707","title":{"rendered":"CU Board of Regents set tuition rates and more"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The University of Colorado Board of Regents voted Thursday to approve <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cu.edu\/news\/cu-board-regents-set-tuition-rates\">recommendations on tuition, compensation and fees for the 2021-22 fiscal year. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The plan calls for, in effect, a 0% tuition rate change for undergraduate students. A 3% tuition increase will be &#8220;bought down&#8221; by each campuses&#8217; one-time relief funds for the coming fiscal year for undergraduate students. Graduate students will also see relief from the proposal.<\/li><li>While potential base building compensation percentage increases for faculty and staff remain in doubt until later in the year, Classified Staff will see a 3% increase beginning July 1 (as called for by the state), and faculty and exempt staff will receive a payment equal to 2% of their compensation from July 1 through December 31.<\/li><li>The budget also allows for potential compensation increases for faculty and exempt staff \u2013 ranging between 1% and 3% \u2013 in the next calendar year.
