As a cultural and applied anthropologist, her theoretical research focuses mostly on empathy and different kinds of persistent inequalities in society whilst her applied work focuses on equity and shifting communities away from discrimination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Smith sat down to discuss a few of her domestic and international projects and explains why they are important right now.
