Shared governance leaders spoke about the priorities of\nFaculty Assembly, Staff Association and the Student Government Association, and\ncampus community members submitted questions for a live Q&amp;A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Updates presented by Chancellor Reddy and campus leadership\nincluded several key takeaways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Here\u2019s what you need to know:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The arrival of a new rapid testing machine and the implementation of new testing protocols will expand UCCS\u2019 COVID-19 testing capabilities. The Wellness Center expects to have a full protocol in place by the end of September. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Learn more >> (opens in a new tab)&#8221; href=&#8221;https:\/\/youtu.be\/VD-dDe6lQ14?t=1070&#8243; target=&#8221;_blank&#8221;>Learn more &gt;&gt;<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>After the Sept. 10 fall 2020 census date, UCCS\u2019 enrollments were down just 3.7 percent \u2013&nbsp;a significant improvement from spring projections of a 15 percent drop. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/VD-dDe6lQ14?t=785\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">> (opens in a new tab)&#8221;>Learn more &gt;&gt;<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The position review committee established this spring will approve more staff positions than anticipated due to the financial relief provided by strong enrollment. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Learn more >> (opens in a new tab)&#8221; href=&#8221;https:\/\/youtu.be\/VD-dDe6lQ14?t=3084&#8243; target=&#8221;_blank&#8221;>Learn more &gt;&gt;<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The CU system has opted to continue furloughs across each of the four CU campuses. Though no UCCS employees are experiencing greater than one furlough day per month, campus leaders hope to gradually reduce furloughs over the course of the academic year. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Learn more >> (opens in a new tab)&#8221; href=&#8221;https:\/\/youtu.be\/VD-dDe6lQ14?t=833&#8243; target=&#8221;_blank&#8221;>Learn more &gt;&gt;<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All students, faculty and staff spending time on campus should continue to complete the daily health assessment, which has been updated with new capabilities. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/VD-dDe6lQ14?t=1231\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">> (opens in a new tab)&#8221;>Learn more &gt;&gt;<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The COVID-19 dashboard continues to be updated each day with diagnostic test results performed by UCCS Health Services, or provided to UCCS by local health partners and confirmed by El Paso County Health. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/VD-dDe6lQ14?t=2694\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">> (opens in a new tab)&#8221;>Learn more &gt;&gt;<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Flu shots will be available to students through the Wellness Center this fall. Flu shots for faculty and staff are covered under all health insurance plans and are available through pharmacies, primary care providers and by appointment at the UCCS HealthCircle Primary Care Clinic in the Lane Center. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Learn more &gt;&gt; (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/VD-dDe6lQ14?t=1160\" target=\"_blank\">Learn more >><\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A new UCCS mobile app offers services including class registration, campus tours, access to the new mobile food ordering system and more to prospective and current students.
