The committee is charged with reviewing candidates and recommending finalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tom Christensen recently announced his plan to return to the classroom for the 2021-22 academic year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mary Ann Cutter<\/strong>, professor of philosophy, and <strong>Don Rabern<\/strong>, dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science, will co-chair the committee made up of faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members. The position will be the chief academic officer of the university and report to the Chancellor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parker Executive Search, a search firm, will assist the committee. Members of the search committee and representatives from Parker Executive Search will meet Aug. 24.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The search committee is comprised of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Mary Ann Cutter<\/strong>, professor of philosophy and search committee co-chair<\/li><li><strong>Don Rabern<\/strong>, dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science and search committee co-chair<\/li><li><strong>Alex Baker<\/strong>, case manager for the Dean of Students, and president of Staff Association <\/li><li><strong>Jackie Berning<\/strong>, chair and professor of health sciences<\/li><li><strong>Lauren Butler<\/strong>, a junior visual and performing arts student, and senator-at-large of the Student Government Association<\/li><li><strong>Laura Eurich<\/strong>, senior instructor, associate chair, director of undergraduate studies and internship director for communication<\/li><li><strong>Kelli Klebe<\/strong>, professor of psychology, and dean of the Graduate School<\/li><li><strong>Chuck Litchfield<\/strong>, vice chancellor for administration and finance<\/li><li><strong>Karen Markel<\/strong>, dean of the College of Business<\/li><li><strong>Federico Mart\u00ednez-Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, assistant professor and director of access services of the Kraemer Family Library<\/li><li><strong>Pat McGuire<\/strong>, associate professor of teaching and learning, and co-director of UCCSTeach <\/li><li><strong>Becky Medved<\/strong>, retired entrepreneur and 1987 M.B.A. graduate<\/li><li><strong>Jacob Pruitt<\/strong>, vice president and general manager for Colorado Springs of T.
