Aisha Ahmad-Post will be the next executive director of the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Aisha Ahmad-Post, director of the Ent Center for the Arts, will be the next executive director of the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahmad-Post joined UCCS in 2017 and worked to open the Ent Center for the Arts. She presented the first several seasons of the acclaimed Artist Series at UCCS alongside successes in education, community engagement, audience development and operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to her time at the Ent Center for the Arts, Ahmad-Post was producer of public programs for The New York Public Library, where she booked and produced artists, created a live stream platform and created several programs encouraging audience engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAisha has been a thoughtful and creative leader at UCCS,\u201d said Carlos Garcia, vice chancellor for student affairs. \u201cAisha has been with the Ent Center for the Arts from the beginning. Her work to establish the Ent Center in the community and curate the first seasons of the Artist Series has strengthened arts and culture for the entire Pikes Peak region. She will be sorely missed, and we wish her the best of luck in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahmad-Post replaces Kendra Whitlock Ingram, who served as executive director of the Newman Center beginning in 2016. Ahmad-Post starts in the role Aug. 3, 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
