Harmon chairs the Leadership, Research and Foundation Department in the College of Education and is a former school superintendent. Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak led an afternoon session, &#8220;Developing Trust and Organizational Effectiveness.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The group also heard from other UCCS administrative leaders and toured the campus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost of the participants from the other campuses had never been to UCCS before,\u201d Andrea Cordova, professional assistant, Office of the Chancellor and campus liaison to the ELP program said. \u201cI think many were surprised by the breadth and beauty of the campus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The year-long Excellence in Leadership Program provides opportunities for selected faculty and staff to become more effective leaders. Throughout the program, participants gain knowledge and skills. The program includes participation from all campuses and the Office of the President.
