As UCCS made the transition to remote learning in the last two weeks, multiple students and their families endured additional costs for last-minute travel and equipment purchases. A new giving opportunity, the UCCS Community Support Scholarship Fund<\/a>, will allow for gifts to be used by those students who are experiencing new challenges in the final half of the spring semester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMany lives have drastically changed, and we are working hard to address the diverse needs of our students and the UCCS community,\u201d said Chancellor Venkat Reddy. \u201cOur students are fighting for their and our collective future, a future that is bright because a UCCS education can change communities for the better.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UCCS Fund for Excellence<\/a> is another option that provides the Chancellor to direct immediate funds to students who have been most impacted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is a challenging time, but what continues to inspire us is the desire of the UCCS Mountain Lion family to help in any way they can,\u201d Reddy said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gifts are encouraged online in the interest of safety for the donors and employees. Checks can be made payable to the \u201cUniversity of Colorado Foundation\u201d with the fund name in the memo line, and mailed to University Development, 1420 Austin Bluffs Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80918. There may be a delay in depositing and receipting due to remote operations.
