Grammy-winning country artist Tanya Tucker will bring her \u201cBring My Flowers Now\u201d tour to Colorado Springs with special guest Hailey Whitters for an April 28 performance at Ent Center for the Arts. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 21 through the UCCS Presents Box Office. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Between her critically acclaimed album and multiple Grammy wins, Tanya Tucker is having a big year,” said Aisha Ahmad-Post, director of the Ent Center for the Arts. “We\u2019re so excited to be part of her journey and to present her at the Ent Center.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in Seminole, Texas, Tanya had her first country hit, the classic \u201cDelta Dawn,\u201d at the age of 13 in 1972. Since that auspicious beginning Tucker has become one of the most admired and influential artists in country music history, amassing 23 Top 40 albums and a stellar string of 56 Top 40 singles, ten of which reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard country charts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tucker\u2019s indelible songs include some of country music\u2019s biggest hits such as the aforementioned \u201cDelta Dawn,\u201d \u201cSoon,\u201d \u201cTwo Sparrows in a Hurricane,\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s a Little Too Late,\u201d \u201cTrouble,\u201d \u201cTexas (When I Die),\u201d \u201cIf It Don\u2019t Come Easy\u201d and \u201cStrong Enough To Bend.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tucker is also the recipient of numerous awards, including two Country Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards and three Country Music Television awards. Tucker received four Grammy Award nominations in 2020 including Song Of The Year: \u201cBring My Flowers Now,\u201d Best Country Album: \u201cWhile I’m Livin\u2019,\u201d Best Country Solo Performance: \u201cBring My Flowers Now,\u201d and Best Country Song: \u201cBring My Flowers Now.\u201d The four nominations lead all 2020 Country Grammy nominees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
