There\u2019s no shortage of beautiful views on the UCCS campus \u2013 but quiet study spots can be a hot commodity. Check out a few of our students\u2019 favorite places to hit the books.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Exterior<\/a>
Business major Tanner Harbick has had several favorite study spots during his time at UCCS. During his first year on campus, he liked to study on the top floor of the\u00a0Academic Office Building (AOB). According to Harbick, \u201cI liked being on the top floor because you can sit and see all of Colorado Springs.\u201d<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Harbick also enjoys studying on the third floor of Dwire Hall \u2013 partially because it\u2019s close to his business classes, but also because his brother, Landen Harbick, works close by in the College of Business\u2019s Career Development Center.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Dwire Hall, home to a variety of academic departments, is designed to facilitate small-group discussion and collaboration.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

For those with tired eyes from studying, Dwire Hall boasts beautiful views of the Front Range and a two-story kinetic sculpture.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Student Government Association President\u00a0JayJay\u00a0Porcadilla\u00a0prefers studying on the opposite side of campus in Columbine Hall. According to\u00a0Porcadilla, \u201cMy absolute\u00a0favorite place to study is the third floor of Columbine facing the mountains. I love this spot because it is just refreshing to see \u2013 it is quiet and overlooks\u00a0the majestic Pikes Peak!\u201d<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Students who prefer to study where the action is flock to the open, collaborative indoor tables\u00a0near\u00a0Sanatorium Grounds in the University Center, as well as the outdoor tables of University Center Plaza.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Those who would rather study under the sun find that green space is in no short supply on the West Lawn, an open grassy field nestled against the\u00a0Osborne Center for Science & Engineering.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
