UCCS third in the nation for cybersecurity community outreach, Bliss awarded Community Service Recognition
The National Centers for Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity Community of Practice for Cyber Defense has awarded UCCS 3rd place in the Nation in the 2022 CAE-CD Community Outreach Awards. It has also given Gretchen Bliss a Community Service Recognition Award. (More)
Cybersecurity earns space grant alongside industry partners

Uncovering the unheard: Researchers reveal inaudible remote cyber-attacks on voice assistant devices
Shouhuai Xu, a UCCS professor in computer science, recently published a paper on USENIX Security 2023 that demonstrates a novel inaudible voice trojan attack to exploit vulnerabilities of smart device microphones and voice assistants. (More)
