Daphne Greenwood, professor, Economics Department, will present “Work and Pay in a Sustainable Economy” at 9:45 a.m. Nov. 19 at First Congregational Church, 20 East St. Vrain Street, Colorado Springs.
Greenwood will discuss the importance of social and economic sustainability, how they relate to environmental issues, and ways that work, pay and mobility have changed. She will also discuss proposed remedies such as universal basic income, employer of last resort and the European Union’s “flexicurity” initiative.
The presentation is part of the church’s weekly forum series and occurs between services. It is open to the public at no charge.
