Kupferman presents in Korea on disabilities

Scott Kupferman, assistant professor, College of Education, recently presented about innovative technology for individuals with disabilities at a United Nations Symposium in Seoul, South Korea. He presented for four days in early June.

Kupferman is the founder and director for the National Collaborative for Disability and Technology, a group of more than 250 engineers and individuals with disabilities who work together to develop and evaluate accessible technology. Examples of the technology include dynamic video captions for those who are deaf, automated alternative text for the blind, and context-aware communication devices for individuals with autism.
