Rothbauer inducted into Northern Kentucky’s Hall of Fame

Northern Kentucky University will induct UCCS Head Softball Coach Ricki Rothbauer into its athletic Hall of Fame Feb. 23.

Ceremonies are scheduled for 6 p.m. at BB&T Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky.

Rothbauer holds program records in in season runs (48), hits (82), triples (nine) and games played (62), all set in 2005. She also holds the career records with 18 triples and a .372 batting average, and is in the top 10 in nine additional categories. Rothbauer led her team to 55 consecutive victories, an NCAA all-division record. She was a first team All-American in 2005 and a member of the All-America third team in 2006.

Rothbauer is in her second year as the UCCS head coach and led the Mountain Lions to the RMAC tournament in her first season. UCCS will open conference action Feb. 25-26, in a four game series in Denver at Regis University.
