Staff recognized for service

More than 70 university staff members were recognized for their years of service to UCCS, and in some cases other campuses of the university, during the annual staff luncheon May 24 at the Gallogly Event Center.

The event featured a 1950s theme including hula hoops, poodle skirts, leather jackets and a meatloaf and mashed potato luncheon.

Longevity awards were changed this year to include service at UCCS and CU campuses in Boulder or Denver as well as time as a student employee, according to Cindy Norton, chemical management, Environmental Health and Safety Department, and president-elect University Staff Association.
