Denver artist and UCCS alum Joe Ziegler recently turned plywood into artwork to commemorate the university’s 50th anniversary.
Ziegler, Communication ’07, used pointillism – painting a single dot a time – to create three pieces of artwork over a span of almost 20 days. A four-by-eight foot landscape depicts the current campus, a three-by-three piece shows the campus in 1965 and a two-by-eight piece features El Pomar Center against Pikes Peak.
Ziegler’s work became live art as he completed his work on the first floor of the University Center. All three works are now displayed in the University Center.

This is so cool! I love it. Thanks for sharing.
I wonder if UCCS could make some prints of these? I’d love to buy them!
