UCCS supporters will have the opportunity to display Mountain Lion pride on the front and rear bumpers of their cars as part a renewed program between the university and the Colorado Department of Revenue.
The new license plate features the Mountain Lion logo and replaces a version dating to 2011 that bore the old UCCS logo with a mountain outline.
“The Mountain Lion logo represents school spirit as well as the university’s growing athletic programs,” Jennifer Hane, director, Alumni Relations, said. “We had many students and alumni who have been anxiously awaiting this change.”
The specialty license plate costs a one-time payment of $50 in addition to other vehicle fees. For more information about obtaining a UCCS Mountain Lion license plate, visit http://www.uccs.edu/alumni/tools/lpp.html
The license plate program began in 2011 under Hane’s direction.
