$1 million Kaiser Permanente grant to stimulate health care jobs, education

As Colorado faces historic unemployment rates, a new partnership between Kaiser Permanente and four state colleges and universities will bring hundreds of new health care jobs to southern Colorado.

The $1 million program is unique because it supports careers in nursing and front line health care professionals such as lab/radiology technicians and medical assistants. (More)

In Memory: Beate Hunt

Beate Hunt, resident board manager, the Lodge, died Feb. 20 from cancer. She worked at the Lodge for 10 years. She is survived by her husband, Steve, a son, Tony, and a daughter, Jennifer, a UCCS student. Funeral services were Feb. 25 and were followed by a reception in the Upper Lodge. (More)
