  1. The most finely tuned eye I’ve ever known. Dear friend, treasured colleague, inventive and celebrated collaborative cook, far-ranging intellect, wild energy, and so much FUN. Louis – with us for always.

  2. Robert and I were in Thailand for the opening but headed down to Colorado Springs next week to see Louis’s exhibit. I will always remember his sly smile and sardonic humor. One of his pieces hangs in my home. But when I first came to UCCS in 1987, my great colleague let me hang two of his large amorphic pieces in my lttle house in Victoria Village. What a great mensch! John

  3. I will never forget Louis and his great lectures! I wish I could have been there to celebrate his life and art.
