The defending RMAC women’s soccer tournament champions will go for back-to-back championships as No. 2 seed UCCS hosts No. 7 seed Colorado State-Pueblo in the quarterfinal round of the 2018 conference tournament. The men earned the No. 5 seed and will travel to No. 4 seed Regis for its first round game. Both games will be played Oct. 30.
UCCS Women vs. Colorado State-Pueblo – 3 p.m. – Mountain Lion Stadium
The UCCS women finished with a 12-1 conference record and will host the ThunderWolves for the second time this season. The Mountain Lions won the first meeting 3-0 during the Sept. 14 Homecoming game. The first 100 students with ID will receive free admission.
A win by UCCS would put it against the winner of No. 3 Westminster and No. 6 Regis in the semifinal. The top remaining seed after the quarterfinals Oct. 30 will host the semifinals Nov. 2 and the championship game Nov. 4. Colorado School of Mines is the top seed and will host No. 8 Colorado Christian. No. 4 Dixie State and No. 5 MSU Denver will play in the other quarterfinal game.
UCCS Men vs. Regis – 3 p.m. – Regis Match Pitch (Denver)
The men finished with an 8-4-2 conference record in the regular season. The first round game will be second game between the two teams in a six-day span after a double overtime game Oct. 25 that ended in a 3-2 win for the Rangers. The teams tied 1-1 during the annual Homecoming game Sept. 14 in Colorado Springs.
A win by UCCS would put it against No. 1 seed Colorado School of Mines, who received a bye into the semifinals in the six-team bracket and will host the semifinal and championship rounds. Westminster received the No. 2 seed and the first round bye, and will play the winner of No. 3 Colorado Mesa and No. 6 MSU Denver.
