UCCS will offer an intensive English program for students and greater Colorado Springs community members this summer.

The Office of Global Programs within the College of Education recently developed a new service for international students and non-native English speakers who are interested in improving their English speaking, writing and listening skills.

According to Chris Sauer, assistant director, Office of Global Programs, the program is designed for students who may speak another language at home who seek to improve their skills, non-native English speakers and international students seeking to improve English proficiency, international students interested in studying at UCCS who seek help in meeting proficiency requirements, and non-native English speakers in the community interested in studying in a university setting.

A range of courses will be offered including a 160 hour full semester course or a short course with 34 classroom hours. Costs range from $250 to $2,500 with sessions beginning June 13, Aug. 22 and Oct. 17.
