Several personnel changes were recently announced within the Office of Admissions and Records.
Homer Wesley, vice chancellor, Student Success and Enrollment Management, announced the changes and new student services goals at a Dec. 1 forum.
The personnel changes are:
John Salnaitis, director, Admissions and Records. He previously served as associate director, Admissions and Records.
Tracy Barber, associate director, Admissions and Records, and director of student information systems, Admissions and Records. She previously served as associate registrar.
Chris Beiswanger, director, Student Recruitment. Beiswanger held a similar position and title previously but will now report directly to Wesley.
Eric Nissen, coordinator, customer relationship management systems. Nissen previously was assistant director of student recruitment. He will work closely with the director of recruitment to support operations of that unit and will also serve in a broader capacity to support the communication needs of the campus community.
Jason Maxwell, assistant director, Admissions and Records. Maxwell previously served as an administrative assistant for the Office of Admissions and Records.
The reorganization follows the retirement of Steve Ellis, interim associate vice chancellor, Student Success, following 30 years service to UCCS, much of it within the Office of Admissions and Records. Ellis will assist with transition as a part-time staff member and advisor to Wesley.
As part of the reorganization, Wesley announced new department goals that include emphasizing service and support for students and their families and moving complete application files to accepted status and notifying students within a two-week period.
